My thatching career started in a traditional apprenticeship with Mike Pawluk, one of the most respected and skilled thatchers in the South West. Initially this was part of an English Heritage, Traditional Skills Bursary Scheme. After this years bursary I went into full time employment with Mike, until his retirement.

I have thatched all over Cornwall, from the Lizard to Lands End and am fully versed in all aspects of thatching and associated building work. I have worked on a wide variety of roofs, from the smallest of gazebos and summer houses to large and complicated full re-thatches. Working extensively with both traditional wheat straw, and water reed, from spar coat roofs to new builds, and everything in between.

I am honest and reliable, and I take pride in achieving the highest quality workmanship and am more than happy to answer any queries or questions regarding your thatch roof.

Many Thanks,
